Customer Reviews

"This place is more for take out than eat in. The curry chicken was a bit salty, but overall, the flavor was good. That's the only good thing I can say. The portions are ridiculously small. As you can see from the picture, it was only partial pieces of chicken leg/thigh. They were cut so small that I got mostly bone with the 5 little pieces in the dish and 3 pieces of potato for $12.99. If I wanted rice, it would have been an additional $6. As pictured, there were 6 pieces of plaintain for $4. Not pitcured was the paratha roti at $2.99. Again, it was small, but it did taste good. Overall, I'm sorry to say I can not recommend this place because of the very small portion size and the price of the food."

"The curry smells like love! As soon as you walk in this place the aromas get you. The lamb gyros are amazing. Everything we ordered was really. The falafel were a little hard better luck next time with those. Service was great and even the other customers were kind. I talked to everyone there and everyone has great things to say about this place. If you're in the area give them a try. I'm on a mission to try the entire menu."

"The flavor of the Lamb was delicious... It came with plantains, which were good, but no other vegetables, bread or anything else. Warm friendly atmosphere. I think it was over priced for what you get."

"Always a nice experience, clearly labeled menu options. Great food everytime. The man who runs the shop is always friendly, I used to go to his shop flame gyros on Providence. Sad to see it close but I'll happily make the longer journey to enjoy his food."

"I've visited Caribbean Grill & Roti Shop (CGRT) a few times and I must admit, everything I've had was really good. Better than expected. CGRT is an NYC-style spot, the physical appearance and food quality is very authentic in that aspect. For me, the hardest part about living in Florida has finding good food spots, so CGRT gets a thumbs up in my book. The first few times I've visited CGRT, I've ordered the gyro (combo) over rice plate and the curry chicken with roti. Both are excellent. I'm not a big fan of curry chicken but theirs is one of the best I've had. The roti was very soft and tasty. The last time I visited CGRT, I ordered the jerk flavored wings with vegetable lo mein. That was really good! I honestly didn't expect much but the quantity and flavor of the food was really good. It's a spicy meal so prepare yourself, but it not over-the-top so don't worry. I'm willing to bet everything else on the menu is really good as well. I just wish they had a better drink selection. There is never more than one or two selections, which I just don't understand. Otherwise, hit up CGRT if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed."

"This is one of the best little hole in the wall places I have ate at in a very long time. I didnt have high expectations going in but I am so happy I stopped in. My husband and I ate the mixed gyro bowl with lamb and chicken. I didnt care too much for the lamb but my husband loved it. I havent ate food that fast in forever. It was so good. So much flavor and hot and fresh. The people there were very friendly and helpful. I found the place clean and even the bathroom was kept up. The prices are amazing and affordable for anyone. We also had the wings and chicken nuggets. We liked them all. They dont have fountain drinks but they do have an assortment of cans and bottle drinks. We were fortunate to meet the owner. She was the nicest woman. I cant wait to come back."

"The food was great, everyone was kind and helpful. Could use better presentation, maybe some silverware or glasses for drinks, but with their amazing food and service, I think some more support could put this place over the top. Definitely check it out!"
